FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions

Yes. NR training is legally mandatory under Brazilian labor law. The Ministry of Labor (MTE) requires that all workers exposed to specific hazards receive proper training before performing their activities. NR-10 (electrical), NR-12 (machinery), NR-33 (confined spaces), and NR-35 (work at heights) all mandate formal training with specific curricula and minimum hours. Companies that fail to train their workers face administrative fines starting at R$2,000 per infraction, equipment embargo, work stoppages, and criminal liability in case of accidents. Training records must be documented and available for MTE inspection at all times.

Upon successful completion, each participant receives an official training certificate with legal validity in Brazil. The certificate includes: participant name, CPF (Brazilian ID), training program name and NR reference, workload (hours), date and location, instructor name, CREA registration number, and course content summary. For engineering-related courses (NR-10, NR-12, NR-33, NR-35), the certificate is backed by a CREA-registered instructor, which is a legal requirement. All certificates are issued in Portuguese (as required by MTE) with an English translation available upon request.

Yes. We offer bilingual training sessions (English and Portuguese) specifically designed for foreign companies operating in Brazil. The instructor delivers the content in English while providing all official documentation, certificates, and regulatory references in Portuguese as required by Brazilian authorities. This ensures your international workforce fully understands the safety procedures while maintaining full legal compliance. Bilingual training is available for all NR programs including NR-10, NR-12, NR-33, and NR-35.

Course duration varies by NR and training level: NR-10 Basic is 40 hours, NR-10 Supplementary (SEP) is 40 hours, NR-12 varies from 8 to 16 hours depending on machinery complexity, NR-33 Worker is 16 hours, NR-33 Supervisor is 40 hours, NR-35 Basic is 8 hours, NR-05 CIPA is 20 hours, and NR-06 PPE is typically 4–8 hours. All courses include both theoretical instruction and practical exercises. Training can be delivered in consecutive days or spread across multiple sessions to accommodate your operational schedule.

Most NR training certifications are valid for 2 years and require periodic recycling (refresher training). NR-10 requires recycling every 2 years or whenever there is a change in procedures, equipment, or work conditions. NR-12 recycling depends on new equipment or procedure changes. NR-33 requires recycling every year for workers and every 2 years for supervisors. NR-35 requires recycling every 2 years. We maintain a training calendar for our clients, sending advance notifications before certifications expire to ensure continuous compliance and avoid gaps that could result in MTE fines.
